I've been selling real estate since 1985. I obtained my Real Estate Broker's License in 1989. I am a graduate of Realtors Institute and am a Certified Residential Specialist. I have attended many continuing education classes and management training classes. I am active in the local Chico professional real estate community.
In addition to helping my own clients achieve their real estate goals for 27 years, for several years I managed an office with over 100 agents. I trained new agents and advised agents when they encountered difficulty. This exposed me to many more scenarios. I have worked with two major national franchises, Coldwell Banker and RE/Max, as well as having my own company. I have also served as an expert witness in court.
In 2009 I moved from Santa Barbara, where my wife and I had lived since 1983, to Chico, CA. We both grew up in small towns (mine in BC, Canada and hers in Missouri) and had a longing to relocate to a more rural community. A friend told us about Chico and we fell in love with it on our first visit. I feel blessed to now live in this beautiful place and to have met so many great people.
Prior to selling real estate I sold high end motor homes for a few years and prior to that I was a professional guitar player. During my years as a full time musician, I had the opportunity to travel widely and lived in Europe (England and Portugal) for over a decade. I consider this a major part of my education. I met many people from different backgrounds and had many experiencees. It also heightened my appreciation of North America and the opportunities we have here that so many people can only dream of.
